We had a good day. We went on a picnic. The girls and I ate peanut butter and jelly. Seth and my parents had ham sammie. We had a beautiful fruit salad. We also had a pasta salad with some veggies in it. I used oil and vinegar and some fresh spices. It was pretty good.
I watched my neighbor's daughter. She was really good. They played at the park. They flew a kite. They played volleyball.
When we got home, we planted a garden. We planted tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, honeydew, basil, cilantro, eggplant, zucchini and acorn squash. It was a family event.
My neighbor came about 5:30 to get her kid. She saw my mom making coleslaw. She asked what we were having for dinner. I told her my husband was outside making sliders. She asked if I was just eating coleslaw. I told her I wasn't eating it because of the mayo. She rolled her eyes. Then got on her high horse about me not eating meat. How ridiculous it was. I just bite my tongue. I didn't want to start an argument about being vegan in front of my mother. All I said was, I don't understand why it's bothers you so much how I eat. It does not effect you. My mother put her two sense in and said, we just worry that you are not getting the nutrients you need. My blood beginning to boil now, but I kept my composure. All I said was we'll see who's laughing when you have heart disease.
Ugh! It's just so annoying. Why do people have to care so much about how I eat? How does my eating affect them? Am I forcing you to be vegan? Do I throw my believes and values down your throat? No! So why do they have to try to force theirs down mine?
